Finding missing family members

Last updated: 25/09/2024, 11:34

If any of your relatives are missing, the Red Cross helps people around the world search for family members. Find out more on this page.

'Restoring Family Links (RFL)'

Via the 'Restoring Family Links (RFL)' department of the Red Cross, you can submit a search request if you have lost contact with a family member or loved one.

Once the request has been assessed, contacting local authorities and organisations in other countries allows RFL to look for them. If the loved one is found, RFL will ensure you are put in touch.

Even if you were not successful in finding your family member or loved one, it will be passed on to you.
