Help with family reunification
VWN volunteers can help you apply for family reunification. They will explain the legal procedure, how your family members can come to the Netherlands and what documents you need to collect. Get in touch with your contact person at VWN if you have any questions or would like to use this service.

The migration child rights help desk offers free legal advice on children's rights and migration to children and (foster) parents. Lawyers at the help desk answer your questions or help when children's rights may be violated.

Help and advice with study and work
UAF offers study advice, guidance and financial support to people who want to study at the level of intermediate vocational eduction (MBO), higher vocational education (HBO) or university. Would you like to make use of this service? Then you must have had at least 11 years of education and speak English or Dutch at B1 level.

Helpline for psychological problems
The MIND Helpline offers free support for psychological problems. You can come here with questions about your own mental health or that of a loved one. MIND helpers will give you advice and help you find the right care.

Temporarily living with a host family
Takecarebnb pairs you with a Dutch host family for three months. This way you can get to know the Dutch language, culture and customs up close while you wait for a home of your own. You can sign up as a guest through the Takecarebnb website.

Food bank
The food bank helps anyone who temporarily does not have enough money for food. You can get free groceries if you meet the requirements. Sign up by calling the food bank in your community.

WhatsApp helpline
Are you new to the Netherlands and do you have questions or need advice on medical assistance, shelter, safety, food or other support? Red Cross volunteers can help you find support and services in your area. You can contact them Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 18:00.
