"Tijdelijk Noodfonds Energie" (temporary emergency energy fund) supports people unable to pay high energy costs
Is your income low and therefore you are struggling to pay your high energy bill? Then starting this week, you may be able to appeal for the temporary emergency energy fund. You can then get 6 months of support in paying the energy bill.
Who is the emergency energy fund for?
The fund is designed for people with low incomes who can no longer pay their high energy bills. And who pay more than 8 to 10 percent of their gross income each month on energy. The emergency energy fund then provides support for part of your bill(s) for gas, electricity and heat. The bill is then lowered for 6 months.
Do not wait too long to apply
The emergency energy fund expects that the first few days may be very busy with applications. If you are unable to apply due to the rush, please try again later. But do not wait too long. Because there is a certain amount of money available for support. And when that runs out, you cannot get any more money.
