Looking for volunteering work with a W-document

Last updated: 25/09/2024, 11:25

Do you have a W-document for 1 year and want to volunteer? Read here where to volunteer and how to find volunteering work.

You can find volunteering work in these places

Volunteering can be done in many places. For example, in a community centre, at a school or in the library. You can speak to your contact at the

Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA)
or or ask your contact at
VluchtelingenWerk Nederland (VWN)
about the possibilities.

You can also drop by a Meedoen desk. This is a desk where COA offers (volunteering) work in cooperation with volunteer organisations in the local area. 40 COA reception centres have a Meedoen desk. You can ask a COA employee whether your reception centre also has such a desk.

You can also volunteer at the reception centre

You can volunteer at the COA's reception centre. For example, by helping to clean and maintain the buildings or garden, or by helping with translation. You can do this work for a maximum of 25 hours a week. You receive a maximum allowance of €14 per week. You can get information about this at the COA information desk.

MyCoa

You can find volunteer vacancies on the MyCOA website. Here you can find vacancies from the COA reception centre and from other organisations outside the reception centre.
