This is how living in the temporary reception centre arranged for you by the municipality works

If you have fled from Ukraine, your municipality must arrange a reception centre for you until you can rent accommodation yourself. You can also live with a host family temporarily.

Emergency reception centre in the municipality

Municipalities are responsible for providing a reception centre for Ukrainian refugees. There is a big shortage of suitable locations in many municipalities. The help of hotels is often requested. In this case, the hotel provides food, drink and shelter.

If there is no space in a municipality, they will contact the

Dutch Regional Coordination Centre for Refugee Dispersal (RCVS)
. You do not have to do this yourself. The RCVS will look for a place for you in the Netherlands.
